Ibrahim Poem by enne aig

Ibrahim

The bitter pills of the other world
Swallowed by a thriving star
An Icon that was made in space
Engulfed by evils of confusion
Dwelling in the same abode with him

How come you did not see it coming
Was emotions beclouding your calling
I warned you of disaster looming
You failed to see the trouble cooling
Running speedily as you set it in motion

Innocent you that came from the hills
To a place paved with opportunities
To till and fill to brim
Will your effort now lie in wait
For the seed you sowed a far

Not even your desire for wisdom
Could break that untimely default
That took you from a place on earth
To another world sad and dark
Because of your past yet fulfilled

If only you listened to reason
And ran away from prison
To a place where you could reason
Then the earth would have been a heaven
A long life coated with seasons

Adieus my friend
Adieus because you were a good man
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
You got home late, ate and died
Never house your wife to a fault
That, I know will be your motto in your next venture
