I see ice upon the water
Like frozen strands of time
Just like my memories of you
Frozen in my mind

I can't help this feeling
That comes to me somehow
You have stood the test of time
You are with me now

I thought time would heal
And I'd be free in time
I was wrong for what it's done
Has kept you in my mind

Like ice upon the water

I thought I would be free now
But you are on my mind

The heart can sometimes fool one
Sometimes one has no mind
Just to let you know that you
Somehow stood the time.
