Identification Poem by Gabrielle Tastet

Identification

Faceless.
Nameless.
Skin eroding.
Walk along the road.
Alone.
Forever.
People forget who you are.
So pieces of you go away.
Slowly forgetting who you are.
What you look like.
Changes you.
Inside.
Outside.
As you pass things…
It’s dark now.
Your identity fading.
The pain you experience is your fault,
In your mind.
Now, your soul escapes from the trap you’ve made yourself.
Bid your body adieu, adieu.
