If

If you are to do it,
do it with style,
make people laugh,
make people smile.

If you can not do it,
do it with tact,
make them grimace,
make their face crack.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was critiquing poetry at All Poetry when I came across an invented form poem by A. Nunez Del Rio, I liked the form so much I used it to create a poem of my own. If is a whimsy octastich poem of two pivit quatrains in ballad rhyme a, b, c, b with beginning and internal anaphora, (repeats) and fixed syllabic meter of 6,4,4,4 each stanza, written in 33 words. Centered for aesthetic symmetry, the image is by me, Josehf Lloyd Murchison.
