If I.....
If I wrote in clouds ten miles high
If I mastered the skies above you
If I colored a rainbow in hues never seen
If I calmed your seas for just one moment
If I had the power to turn back time
If I shaped the winds of remembrance
If I could hold your body close to mine
I would never again look beyond your eyes
That beautiful strange rainbow, seen breaking through the love haze cloud is reminiscent of the calm ocean where you held her strong and free is not an If now but a done deed..and now even If she could, .... She would never look beyond Your eyes. Truly beautiful and heart rendered poetry. Thank you for your sharing.
Well, I just melted into a puddle! ! ! ! ! Women all over the world just glared at their husbands wondering why they cannot say such beautiful words of love that embrace them. Women would dance through the day for just one sentence half as romantic as your closing verse. Edmund, you are the poet king of love. 10+++++++++++++++++++++ and onto my fav list!
