If I Die Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

If I Die

If I die

If hear that I died
Committing suicide
Or somehow was involved
In my death
Using hand, tongue or leg
Sit silent, think again
And question:
'How could he
That fighter
He who ran
Up and down
Left and right
From sea to the air
On ground
Raised his voice
From lung to his tongue
He who used pen as sword…
How could he? '

Answer lies in thinking
See photos, scripts, recordings…
Take a look at my films

I leave you enough to
See thorough for judging
Among them books I have
Books I read, some mentioned
Some still in my shelves,
Around me…

If ever
You hear that I died
Killed myself, poisoned
Using noose, rope, other
Sit; question: 'How could he? '

Answer lies in a lead
Look in air; all drones
Loot at sea, all drowned
Look at man, beast and wild:
'Feel ashamed of this life! '
