If It Were My Last Day Poem by Bullion Grey

If It Were My Last Day

Rating: 5.0

If it were my last day, just what would I do?
Would I charter a plane to Timbuktu?
Would I make a special work of art for all to view?

If it were my last day what would I do? I know I wouldn't waste time trying to buy something new. I might write a verse especially for you.

If it were my last day one thing I would do, organize my will and pray alot too.

If it were my last day I'd call my enemies and friends,
say my goodbyes and make my amends.

If it were my last day I'd probably get the last laugh
and figure out how funny I could make my epitaph.

If it were my last day, nothing would be secure,
nothing anyone could say would be quite for sure.

If it were my last day, and to a close the sun drawn,
and I knew in just hours I'd be gone....guess it would be quiet,
there would be an absence of laughter,
I'd have one final drink and
cheer to the here after!
