If Only Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

If Only

If only

Camera in hand I
Drove, also walked
Searched for a corner
For serenity and asylum

If only
There was no asphalt;
Repaired to form checker.

If only
There were no wires
For lights, connections.

If only
There were no cars parked
In front of the houses;
Made of cement and bricks.

The fall would be great…

Scarlet
The leaves on branches,
And fallen,
Write the scores;
Music can be heard…

If only
There had been no engine
If only
Did not choke smoke of gasoline
If only
No one tortured living naturally

If only
If only
If only

And how
How I wish
There was none
Not any…
