If The Drugs Don't Get, You The Alcohol Will Poem by Richard Jarboe

If The Drugs Don't Get, You The Alcohol Will

If the drugs don't get you, the alcohol will,
If the drugs don't get you the alcohol will,
Avoid the hard stuff; don't build a still,
If the drugs don't get you, the alcohol will.

In this world, you got to behave,
A little moderation can't hurt,
Don't let your body go out of control,
Or you'll find your body deep in the dirt.

Who's to blame when you come to a halt,
When everything's the same, it's time for a talk,
If you go broke who pays the bill?
If the drugs don't get you, the alcohol will.
