If There Was Anything To Say Poem by Iris Mista

If There Was Anything To Say

in a tiny little poem if I may
I would like to show and express
my garden of life and success

Not about any wealth I earned
for that I never longed or yearned
but of all these flowers of love
in daily life and from above

I so love to spread some hope
in effect much better than any dope
but the true fact is I did fail
like a garden, destroyed by hail

All these little seedlings once planted
the delicate green I never granted
lost, forgotten and perished
so many treasures I never cherished

In this moment it is all too late
punishment, deserved or simple fate
No hope but solely emptiness
a poem of loss and void I express
