If These Be My Last Words Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

If These Be My Last Words

1.If these be my last words
Let them bring hope and a cure
Let them bring peace where blood shed steered
Let them bring faith and dissolve fear

2.Yes, if these be my last words
Let them be sweet and nice
Not just chatter, but good advice
Let my words be profound
Let them be heard by everyone around

3.If these be my last words
Than make them important
We can't take them back, once we're dead it's certain
I want to bring down the house when they close the curtain

Author's Comments
I often think about leaving this life and not being remembered or what is worse being remembered for the bad things I did.
So to remind myself and also as a prayer to God I wrote this poem.
