If You Do Not Have Any Friends Poem by Francis Duggan

If You Do Not Have Any Friends

Life has what you make of it one has to suppose
If you do not have friends you will not have any foes
To be without friends may not be as bad as it may seem to be
Though many with this would surely disagree
Since only from trust true friendship can grow
Many what a true friend is like may never get to know
When a friendship does crumble bitterness takes it's place
And once friends who have fallen out when they meet face to face
Only dislike in their body language for each other they show
As people each other they never got to know
Your true friend as your friend your lifetime will stay
And never deceive you in any sort of a way
But the truth is the one without any friends does not have any foes
And this not a bad thing one does have to suppose.
