Immunity Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Immunity

This life is full of stark absurdity
For reason of greed, fear or cover of real identity
They have entrenched dirty immunity
And run away from the test of sanctity
After many years of enjoying the goods of authority
Living obscurely below obvious clarity
Actions, of theirs, laced in criminal propensity
Their thoughts are above common sagacity
Precipitating abject economic scarcity
Forgetful they are; we all belong to this city
Their wrongdoings are a class in atrocity
But, for how long will they continue their activity
And continue to enjoy this foul immunity
Thinking they will continue to accumulate in rapacity
And bask in expansive audacity
No! They will for eternity, not stay in immunity
The creator shall soon ask them for accountability
