Immutable Poem by Pearl Walden

Immutable

What is the key to the secret safe?
How to unlock the bolted door?
The code remains within its crypt.
Volatile lies remain taboo.
For no way exists to rewind the spool,
No way to undo the acts of the past,
The arrogance confidence of youth
Unendowed with crystal lenticle
Magnifying in clarity
Ineptitude with tardy hindsight.
