Impermanence Lasts Forever Poem by Frederick Francis

Impermanence Lasts Forever

Rating: 5.0

Dangling there with my grip holding fast
No question of effort I know it can last.
But my stationary mind wanders and wonders
It is the tempting possibilities it ponders.

Release from what it is that I cling.
Feel the wonder of change, though the pain may sting.
Falling is simply a state of constant changing,
Changing can be one of many things ranging.

From an alteration of your life long end,
To changing mode of thought to not offend;
Could be something tiny, like rhythm of breath,
It is change I desire, there is none that’s to less.

Nothing stays forever throughout all of time,
Not a monument of stone or no form of rhyme.
The concept of stagnancy is an impossible notion;
I’m always changing, be it physical or emotion.

Accepting the changes is all that’s required
To reach the bliss that by all is desired.
Impermanence is the only forever we’ll know
So release you’re control and go with the flow.

See time as infinite, a never ending line.
My goal is to make the current place mine.
One must be at peace with this realization
Because there will be an end to every creation.
