In Bloom Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

In Bloom

Rating: 4.8

It had been a wretched Winter wasted

Layered in deepening shades of grey

Accented with clear to white slicing ice

That sadly had it's destructive way...

It was cabin fever daily for all of us

Remaining near to the hearth and fire

Bundled up, with you, and God's loving cup

Fueled with much hope- filled desire...

Longing - so longing - for the sunshine

For the first bud's of Spring to arrive

For the aroma's of sweet new beginnings in the air

To feel the first whispers - of new love to come alive...

At last - our longing's are satisfied sweetly

Nestled deep in the Springs affluent glow

True love has finally found us - now together

Where in the Rose garden - our love continues to grow...
