In Captivity Poem by Satish Verma

In Captivity

The blind moon falls
in sea. Encounter breaks out in blue
green water and an enigma.

Don't look at me. Struggle
for power began after the
magnificent queen was dead.

You wear a talisman,
upside down unceremoniously,
to catch the violent heartbeats.
