In Eghties Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

In Eghties

In eighties

Could see the tear
-did not fall, but gathered
-a proud Greek γριά (griá)
-leans against a walker; dignified

She sure is magnet's pole
-well aware of my role
- "Bow to her with respect! "

Must humble, be polite
-I obey…

We spoke…
-she hated the tool's help
- "Did not and do not want! "

I felt her in her depth
- "Where are you Goddamn death? "

I too want to depart
-before such strolls!
