In Faith Arise Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In Faith Arise

Each time I pray, I’ll wait a while
Composed reverend and still
Until my spirit starts to smile
Knowing my Father’s will

My mind seeks out the news within
What secret Heaven shares
To cleanse my soul of wayward sin
And free of shameful wares

In shadow! Satan would enshroud
Darkness; engulf my soul
Yet far above the maddening crowd
God guides me to my goal

I know I’ll never come to harm
Salvation’s at the door
Christ is my strength my mighty arm
My Fortress built for war

Through faith by grace, I’m sealed in Light
With promises galore
Through selfless love in amour bright
I’ll enter Heaven’s Door

When standing true until the end
When death itself has died
I’ll see with He who calls me friend
Tomorrow magnified

Up & beyond united one
With countless souls beside
With God The Father Ghost & Son
Forever to abide

From such a promise; who would fail?
Persist to walk with shame
Don’t be a fool in Satan’s jail
Rise free in Jesus name
