In Remembrance Of J.M. Barrie

somewhere there is between the daylight and dawn

Wendy will come back

to sew all the shadows on

for it has become a blind world

that knows no twilight now

only a vestige of beauty.

not even the flickering of the old names.

his dream flights remembered

Icarus will not drown

nor the schoolchildren to higher rmathematics be solely bound

a way will be found to cast off anchors

once more into the sea foam of clouds

so raspberry and azure at the same time.

the street lights will yield to the stars

no longer will we be barred from what we knew most gloriously

in the twilights blooming

of lavender composed

in the music the music

that never has grown old

resisting all commands

neverland cannot sleep

nor bring the curtain down.
