In The Days Of Old Poem by Paul Warren

In The Days Of Old

In those olden days
People was happier you'd say
For times for us were tough
And living life was rough
But we did not need that much
Not the latest thing and such

We would go out and leave the locks off
And gave each other a wave and not a scoff
It was best said by the four Yorkshire men
Who said "times were tough back then"
"And you know we were poor"
"But we were happy then because we were poor"

Just sitting around "drinking Chateau du Chasseur"
"On the Costa du Sol"
"And you try to tell the kids of today that and they don'tbelieve you."
