In the depths of our souls, lies the covenant,
Forged in the realm before earthly descent.
A vow to tread the path of Divine light,
Yet earthly desires cloud our sight.

We tug and we push against the horizon's edge,
Driven by cravings, seeking to pledge,
Our allegiance to Satanic power, to earthly gain,
But in doing so, we forsake the God-consciousness.

Adoration of worldly life, a treacherous snare,
Leading us away from the path of divine.
Let us tether our rebel nafs with iron rope,
And grasp it tightly to the promise of remaining,
God-conscious while living in the earth.

As waves of desires rise, threatening to drown,
Let us awaken and cast off the heavy weight,
Of ungodly cravings, from our ship into the sea,
And sail safely towards eternity, to live in,
The promised paradise for ever.
