In The Green Morning I Woke Again

Rating: 5.0

In the green morning I woke again
Time is more beautiful I said to the wind
To the wind that ferried the dawn birds around
And carried the sun from lost to found
And brightened my heart
Though I am old
And turned again
The dance to gold.
And sequined the music
Of long ago
as it came lightly
so lightly to land
like a bird of wild spectrums
on my frail hand.
while the starshine of evening
still lingered so free
Like the silver of fruit
from a Heavenly tree
That God alone plucked
For only me.
