In The Long Grass Poem by Tom Billsborough

In The Long Grass

J'ai besoin d'un brebis, ma chère!
La pelouse est envahie encore.
La tondeuse est cassée.
Et je suis trop lassé
Coupant avec ces ciseaux! Mon dieu!

Your understanding of French is appalling but your Limerick is superb, so who cares? That lovely lady in a rural spot has a lot to answer for! Indirectly, she does appear in this poem. When we were first married we didn't have a lawn mower (tondeuse) so we decided it cut the long grass with scissors. we produced a lot of interesting shapes. In fact we could have entered the end product in the Pornographic Lawn of the Year Contest! Tom
