In The Sidewalk Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

In The Sidewalk

Rating: 4.0

In the sidewalk, the old lady
In deep sadness sells her veggie,
Nobody wants to ask and buy,
She‘s lonely like a leaf so dry,
Tears overflow, she smells no glee.

It's a picture of misery,
She knows not how to be happy,
The pavement hears her quiet cry
In the sidewalk.

No silver spoon, no guarantee,
Pocket and purse have holes to see,
The only wealth she owns is high
Grade of honor without a lie,
Her last breath will just fade and flee
In the sidewalk.
