In The Waters Of Being Poem by mark nwagwu

In The Waters Of Being

Rating: 5.0

There's only one body
one soul
one mind
in whom I'm completely immersed
fully submerged
lungs out of air

can't swim
can't float
arms sunk in her coast
no way out

Unless a seed rots
and dies
it bears not fruit

And so I lie buried
to rot
to die
that I may flourish
inherit my soul
breathe the breath
infused by the Master
re-making me
in His image

Then I'll gain her soul
borne on her back
in the waters of being
