Inconspicous Poem by Shruti Das

Inconspicous

Your presence
can never be inconspicuous.
Probably, every innocent dewdrop
looks for a lotus leaf and
every unaware teardrop
looks for a soft cheek.
The tears in the drops
wait with suspended excitement
to overstep all boundaries,
even lashes.
Temptation of soft cheeks and
a daring plunge into the deep unknown
draws them.
It is not an easy choice-
to be inconspicuous-
held lovingly on the lotus leaf
or grudgingly on shaky eyelashes.
