Independence From England And The Eu Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Independence From England And The Eu

They boast of their Scottish heritage
But will they stand with Scotland in hard times
Does sound like they're just full of verbiage
As they do show off their pedigree lines

Union or no we want our wealth back
Everything they have stolen from us
In parliament with rump they do stack
A victory for Scotland's oppressors

So why haggle for a referendum
We don't need permission from the crown
For in Arbroath we declared our freedom
And to england we will never bow down

Our ancestors swore to fight to the death
Against English rule with every breath
