Indestructible Poem by Daniel Goncalves

Indestructible

Rating: 5.0

I open my eyes, and all I see is darkness.
I put my hand in the snow, and feel neither cold nor pain.
I walk day after day over open flames, yet I do not ignite.

I get stabbed in the back by close friends,
I get my heart torn by lovers,
And still I persist.

I am ridiculed, teased and taunted and still, I do not care.

I run and train for hours even with blistering feet and fatigue throughout my body,
I bleed and rip apart my flesh, and never stop.

I do not feel and for that same reason,
I'm indestructible.
