Institutions Poem by Rod Morris

Institutions

Institutes cause confusion how are we too know?
Which one’s for us; which one will start the flow.
Institute of schooling; learn to read and count.
Institute of standards, obstacles to surmount.
Institute of career; what do you wish too be?
Institute of travel; what do you want too see?
Institute of passion; disguised in many ways,
Institute of family; that fills your waking days.
Institute of little things; one’s that impress most,
Institute of dawning morning; aromatic tea and toast.
Institute of silence; without the need to talk,
Institute of trainer; as dog takes you for a walk.
Institute of listening; meadowlark in bluest sky,
Institute of flight; if earthbound man could only fly.
Institute of happiness; what is one’s life worth?
Institute of achieving; your contribution to our earth.
