Interpretation Poem by Shaun Cronick

Interpretation

Rating: 5.0

Perhaps some clever phrase,
Sprinkled with a nuanced word.
Will elevate this plain poem,
To something less absurd.

Familiarity does breed contempt,
So that old wives tale goes.
Good heavens now naked cliche,
This poem lacking new clothes.

I'd better quickly dress it up,
Thin bones seeking poetry flesh.
As this poem's nearly concluded,
With nothing new to express.

But I've already addressed it,
My message with hidden signs.
It's a question of interpretation,
If one reads between its lines.

Sometimes the beauty of a poem lies in the hidden message that it imparts. A fascinating poem well crafted. Some of the beautiful lines of this poem resonate with me.

A very self - reflective poem Shaun. I simply love the line, ' Thin bones seeking poetry flesh'...brilliant metaphorical language! It's definitely a deeply reflective, self - aware five from me.
