Into The Day Poem by Martin Webb

Into The Day

I split the night
with a crown of stars
glowing in my heart

I sifted through the down air,
holding hands with the silence there

Soaring to the mistress moon,
I nodded greeting
to her mystic smile

Pretending to be an angel

I rushed further, heavenward

Into the gilted dawn
of the new day's glory
