Introspection Poem by Meetika Srivastava

Introspection

I always tried to deliver my best but somehow I feel that I often missed out on what was required to be done.
I knew the outcome is not in my hands but the effort has to come from my side.
I distanced myself from the numerous ambiguities of the world so that the simple truths may come to light.
They say I am woman now but I still feel like a little girl child in my heart.
As a girl I can cry and weep when I'm hurt.
As a girl I can laugh and giggle without reason, reason as a fool and be stubborn with my desires.
As a girl I am free to do foolish things and care a damn.
As a girl I can always say..' Tell me and I forget....Teach me and I remember... Involve me and I learn.'
