Is faith enough The Lord to please?
Can it prevent a fight?
Can it bring Satan to his knees?
And run till out of sight
What is this faith some brag about?
Is anything more odd?
What’s wrong with having cautious doubt?
Even concerning God
Does it possess such great a strength?
It overwhelms the foe?
Will Satan stoop to any length
To stop it’s awesome flow?
Can nothing else God satisfy?
Can faith lead God to save?
Can it prevent our time to die?
And entering the grave?
This wondrous gift we now embrace
Is neither earned nor bought
It comes complete with love and grace
Wrapped up in Christ’s report
Its by God’s will and not our own
That anyone should boast
It comes through Christ, life’s Corner Stone
Via The Holy Ghost
Man’s gift of faith’s of Christ divine
Proportioned by God’s will
So none can boast or drink like wine
Or ever overfill
Christ knows how much to each He’ll bring
He knows the reason why
And so the song of faith we sing
Is heard so sweet on high
