Is God Obliged To Give Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Is God Obliged To Give

Does anyone deserve God's love?
Is God obliged to give?
Is life's true King indebted above
To let a sinner live?

Or is it love, He shares by grace?
Selfless, above and beyond
Lavished on those who seek His face
Who to His will respond

Is endless love for Heaven's clan?
Who seek one's self to die
To faithful serve The Son Of Man
The Son Of God on high

Is love the power of powers?
Far and beyond the rest
Will all of Heaven's be ours
Who Jesus Christ has blessed

Yes is the answer, yes and amen
Yes, to life's faithful few
Echoes God's blood again and again
Who Jesus Christ pursue

In perfect love, Christ Jesus died
Selfless, beyond belief
For to Himself, lost souls to guide
From endless pain and grief

Is such love, not worth receiving
So willingly for free
To the lost blind soul believing
Jesus upon the tree

Believing enough to follow
To where He calls to go
In eternal grace to wallow
Within love's perfect glow.....
