Is Tension Ethnic Or Political? Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Is Tension Ethnic Or Political?

Is tension ethnic or political?

I search for a gun
With silver bullets
Must shoot this brain into the air,
And to get rid of the eyes that can read…

I read of the Pit bulls' ban
And of the "No tax for years, "
And of "This is who he really is! "

I read of the South Sudan
And of the refugees in Uganda
Struggling to…and of the ethnic tensions
And their fight; on the fifth Independence Day

I read of fleeing a war zone
To avoid the tribal conflicts
Moth-like ending in flames.

And I read of Robin Williams's suicide
And his fighting with the terrorist
A terrorist within his brain,

Robin was losing his mind and was aware of it
He felt and experienced himself disintegrating
His rare brain disease was beyond Parkinson…

I read of the net loss of $915,729,293
And the tax exemption for 18 years
And accusing the newspaper…

And I can read between the lines:
"My tax is not your business;
Your life is my business! "
And read the depth of the loyalty
"Not even to her husband…"

And I laugh…crazy…

I look for a gun with silver bullets
It is time to go
Where are my shoes? I need a coffin!
