Is There Love That Builds The Nest?

It's spring and the birds are hard at work
building their nests
For days they are busy collecting
and gathering their finery
Weaving the bits together
to make their summer homes
As I sit and watch from my window
I ponder the Robin Red Breast
The Morning Doves and
The Cardinals too
For is it just what they must do?
As nature intends
Or is there love that builds the nest?

Well what is it dave that makes them stay together, surly more than birds of a feather... Andy 10

Lil sis, I'm not sure if our feathered friends fall in love, though I do know of some that mate for life. Top marks and thanks for sharing this beautiful poem though. Big Bruv
