Island Poem by Obinna Kenechukwu Eruchie

Island

Trapped in an island of nowhere,
There no common sounds unlike here,
Of nature, huge strike took me there.
Abound fruits and vegetables dear
That my life such fortune did spare.
Such where no room is placed for fear.
Everything to have for my care
Is on this island that did rear
My soul enough that joy is bare.
Good life so true, I want is near.
A sign of hope I have is clear.
Faith through the heart in me did steer.
Thought of home will be so much cheer.
With that, being away I dare.
My heaven I put in high gear.
Now back, this tale to you I share.
