It Is What It Is Poem by Francie Lynch

It Is What It Is

Rating: 5.0

I sneezed into my elbow
At the grocery store;
All who were present turned,
Gasped and hit the floor,
As though I'd shot a gun.

I coughed in my elbow
While I was walking home;
The sidewalk cleared across the street,
As though I'd dropped a bomb.

While I was at my bank today,
Four masked men pushed through the door.
Who notices them anymore.

In times like these, a little levity goes a very long way. Thanks for this wonderfully humorous poem. I love that you left the humour right to the very end.
