It's Just The Wind - My New Song Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

It's Just The Wind - My New Song

It's Just the Wind

It's just the wind
Blowing thru the trees
It's just the wind
Like a ghost in the breeze
It's just the wind
Haunting me with your memories

I was from St Paul
You, from the east coast
We met in the New England fall
I was so young and bold
The stars seemed to call
To our hearts and souls

By the sea we were born
Lighthouses and white sand
Seagulls on the shore
Art shops and fried clams
Ships and foghorns
Moonlight and summer bands

You taught me desire
I bought you turquoise earrings
You brought me higher
I can still hear you sing
We were on fire
Like bright flowers in the spring

Break

I know I was cruel
Drove you away
Time heals all wounds
I hope and pray
I truly loved you
And babes I've paid

It's just the wind
Wishing you were here
It's just the wind
Wanting you near
It's just the wind
Crying all these tears

Every instrument on this song is real including a Hammond Organ with a Lesley sitting in my living room. Sax is next so it's not finished. I've written 12 songs in 3 months. Looking forward to playing my new up coming album live.
