It’s Not All Easy Poem by Michael P. Johnson

It’s Not All Easy

It’s hard to choose which church to go
All claim to have The Light
They all profess The Truth to know
Yet all, can not be right

Sometimes the price seems far too high
Through sin we fall astray
We feel so lost and wonder why?
To God we cease to pray

The race in Christ can feel so long
Too few believe can win
We, choose the way we sing our song
When in this life we sin!

We choose the road we walk each day
We choose if Christ can reign
God never said He’d pave the way
Nor ease on earth the pain

That promise, is in Christ above
Who overcome life’s trial –Jn.16: 33
Who spread the word with deeds of love –Mt.28: 19-20
Who walk the extra mile

We must be pure in word and thought
Stand firm on which is sound
Believe in Jesus’ true report
Prepare for higher ground

Important is, we stay God true
Refuse from grace to fall
Continue Christ to keep in view
Until life’s final call…
