It's time for bread/Vrijeme je za hljeb

It’s time for bread
For a morsel of life in a home
With the hand on a crust
A piece of it picked from a late sky

It’s time for water
For a drop on a lip burnt by draught
And on a tongue that forgot the word

It’s time for wine
For its colour when bringing a soul to soul
Take it for a token of your blood

Eat drink
And like your own blood
Learn to flow

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
