It was a time of darkness,
that shaded me from light
Could not recollect a single day
but absorbed feelings of night
A spark to light a candle
To remove unreasonable doubt
The temptation was too strong
One breath and it was out
The smoke would fill my lungs
And succeeded to cloud my mind
Senses were too weak
My sight was going blind
The heavy murk surrounding
Cold against my skin
Sharp edges brushing
A thousand pricks of a pin
Shivers crawled up my spine
As dull as they could wander
Gasping for sprightliness
But something pulled me under
Nothing and the emptiness
Could only leave me heartless
That shaded me from the light
It was a time of darkness
