It was love
The kind to be sweet in the beginning
Sweet enough to draw you in
The kind to get you hooked
Then unexpectedly turn on you

And when it did
It was a bitter kind of love
A painful kind of love
It broke the heart it mended

When it found me my heart had been shattered
When it was all over, my heart was dust
And it hurt
It hurt
It hurt

To this day I'm afraid to truly love
And it hurts even more
Because I want love
