Its Me - Poem by irum inayat

In the promising eyes of the bride of glum …I’m the tear...
in the mantra of morose I’m the chant …
in the blur of smog I’m the one smudged with dust …
in the blaze n singe I’m scalded …
in the abrasion of verve I’m the soul

WHY DO YOU THINK SO? YOU ARE THE HOPE OF LIFE. YOU ARE THE SHINE OF STARS YOU ARE THE LOVE OF A MOTHER'S EYE AND YOU ARE THE SONG OF A BIRD AND YOU ARE THE PLAY OF A DAWN AND YOU ARE A SONG OF LOVE AND YOU ARE A DREAM OF SLEEP AND YOU ARE A RAY OF LIGHT AND YOU ARE A POET'S DELIGHT. This is not just emotional venting, or “therapy poetry” as I like to call it, there are thoughtful and clever lines here. (Report) Reply
