Japanese Eyes Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Japanese Eyes

Japanese eyes

Driving to me is
-a research, study.

And diving into time
-past and seen…

Zebra line is always my favour
-looking at pedestrians…

She, alone, slow, calm
-walked across
-her head down.

Devil is part of me,
-always was, is, will be.
-I set out
-camera of the eyes
-telescope, microscope.

Almond eyed, Japanese
-not just oriental
-mistaken as Chinese…

Randomly looked at us
-where came cars
-with laser-scanning.

And took me into time
-to Ginza where I saw
-Kimonos on the girls.
-They looked down
-scanning stealthy…

Damn the car behind me
-it honked, said:
- "Go, left light is green! "

It spoiled my life in daydream.
-Pulled me out of circle of the girls
-in plane…
-There, the same, exact girls, were devils!
