Jewels From Upanishads: 1.5 Brahman Is Everywhere



That moves, moves not, be still,
Farther than far, closest still;
Far off in vast sphere
And yet all so near!
That's within of all us,
Without, in whole universe!

Here is the transliteration of the verse from Isha Upanishad, sandhi separated:

tat ejati tat na ejati tat dūre tat u antike |
tat antah asya sarvasya tat u sarvasya asya bāhyatah | |Isha 5 ||

tat: that (Brahman, atman): ejati: moves; tat na ejati: that moves not; tat dūre: that (is)far, too far; tat u antike: that (is)very near; tatantah: that (is)inside/within; asya:of this, us; sarvasya: of all (living): tat u: that also; sarvasya asya: of all this; bāhyatah:(is)outside/without.

Glad you noticed that. I always feel the original is always original, and then BG has come from Lord Krishna straight as expressed by Vyasa..
