John Peel Is Dead
John Peel is dead
Stop all the clocks
Or at least turn off the radio
If John Peel is dead then
who will play the music
Did you know John Peel
at the break of day
Did you know John Peel
and his Radio way
But this is no good
And I can’t go on.
And there is no fun
in John Peel being dead
Time was 'only he wore black
The first, best, last pirate DJ of them all
Strolling in The King’s Road.
Fun, famous and fine hearted.

aye nice little tribute and one of which I think he would approve, not gushing or over sentimental, cannot say I shared his taste in musicvaried though it was but he was a true original
I like your tribute to Mr Peel.
Discovered many a good band listening
to his shows. Nice poem.
Kindest Regards Slim. x.
