Johnny And The Star Poem by Thea Pound

Johnny And The Star

Johnny, Johnny,
Wandered far,
He left home chasing,
The Southern Star;
'Twas not long before,
He found himself lost,
When the Star hid inside,
The Galaxy's Cross.

He fought with a Devil,
On a bridge that night,
Who shattered his Soul,
And blinded his Sight.
With his memory lost,
And no Star for direction,
He found himself stranded,
Without his Reflection.

The Ruin that followed,
Would pass him by,
Until one night he looked,
Up into the sky;
And there he beheld,
Regulus had returned,
And reignited the Flame,
For which he yearned.

Though the world that he knew,
Was decayed and broken,
He remembered the Secret,
That The Gods had spoken.
His Reflection renewed,
And his Soul was reborn,
He sought out the Devil,
His Mission restored.

Now Johnny, Johnny,
Wanders no more,
For that Fateful day,
He settled the score;
The Devil was slain,
And his power released,
The Evil destroyed,
For a new Era of Peace.
