Jonathan Livingstone, The Poet Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Jonathan Livingstone, The Poet

Every minute in my life is filled with thoughts about just you
Never term it a hyperbole
For minds ignorance is overtaken by hearts insight,
I failed to recognize you at first sight
So it was never a love at first sight or my first love
This is my only love
Which seems to have followed me for centuries
In dream after dream and in every age
With every birth and through every lovers tongue
It keeps gushing out of a fountain
Of the freedom of unbound joy,
The waterfalls and sparrows were all made for us
The wall which gulfs this love & life will soon tumble
This rhyme is about my delusion, my only love in an illusory life,
I wait to perform spectacular stunts at your bidding
For I am Jonathan Livingstone, the sea gull.
